Author Guidelines
1. Publication of scientific articles is carried out at the expense of the authors. Costofpublication: - for employees of Institute Botany and Phytointroduction (individual) -2000 (twothousand) Tengefor1(one)page;
- employees the reorganizations (individual) -4000 (fourthousand) Tengefor1(one)page;
- for all organizations (legalentity) -6000 (sixthousand) Tengefor1(one)page;
- foreign authors (all authors) - free of charge.
2. The journal “Spiraeanthus” publishes original theoretical, problem-based, experimental and methodological articles, as well as analytical reviews, reviews and chronicles relevant to the journal's profile.
3. The article should present the author(s)' own conclusions, interim or final results of scientific research, experimental or analytical work (author's developments, recommendations, previously unpublished and having novelty, etc.).
4. Acceptance of scientific articles is carried out on the journal website after the author is registered in the system: https://journal.soil.kz/jour/index. After downloading, the article is checked in the license system "Antiplagiat" for international databases. Reviewing articles is carried out in the system using blind review. Algorithms for registering and sending an article to the editorial office of the journal are located in the author's personal account.
5. Articles they should be typed in MS Word, font Times New Roman, font size 11 pt., line spacing 1, indent 10 mm; margins: left and right - 30 mm, top and bottom - 35 mm.
6. The beginning of the article should follow the pattern: on the left side the State Rubricator of Scientific and Technical Information (SRSTI) or the Interstate Rubricator of Scientific and Technical Information (IRSTI). Then information about the authors is given: initials and surnames of the authors, affiliations (place of main work of the author(s) and organization(s) where research was conducted, addresses of all authors of publications, including the main author, postal code, city, country, e-mail address).
7. No hyphenation is allowed in the title of the article, headings of all levels, names of tables and figures. Only hyphenation is allowed in words in the text of the article.
8. Structure of the research article: TITLE, ABSTRACT, KEYWORDS, INTRODUCTION, MATERIALS AND METHODS, RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION, Acknowledgements or Gratitude (if any), FINANCIAL INFORMATION (if any), REFERENCES.
The abstract (up to 300 words) should include a description of the main topic, the problem of the research article, the purpose of the work and its results. It should not include: well-known provisions, quotations, abbreviations, references, abbreviations, unnecessary introductory phrases. In addition, all these data are presented in Kazakh and English (in Russian if the article is in Kazakh) at the end of the manuscript on a separate page with keywords.
9. After the abstract, keywords in the language of the article should be given. A few basic concepts describing the content of the article (5-7 words).
The abstract and keywords should be typed in MS Word, Times New Roman, font size 10 pt., 1 line spacing. The text of the article follows. Underlining is not allowed in the text.
10. The title of the article should fully reflect the content of the article. Articles should be carefully edited.
11. The introduction should clearly state the current scientific and practical state of the issue, the rationale for undertaking this research, the relevance, novelty and purpose of the research.
12. Materials (object) and methods of research should contain the following information: where, when, on which soil (substrate) the experiments were conducted; agrochemical characteristics of soil with indication of methods of determination; conditions of plant cultivation; analytical methods and used instruments with indication of their origin. When describing the experiments with plant cultures, their varieties should be indicated; the name of microorganisms and fungi should be written only in Latin (italics). At the end of the methodology section, the repetition in the experiments, the areas of the experimental plots, and the methods of statistical processing should be indicated.
13. The presentation of the results should consist of identifying the patterns that follow from the tables and figures. Experimental data in tables and text should be presented as numbers with three significant digits and percentages with two significant digits.
14. Statistical processing methods should be specified in the article. All types of statistical errors should be given with no more than two significant digits, starting with the first non-zero digit on the left. When discussing the results, compare the information obtained with that available in the literature and show where the novelty of the results is found.
15. The conclusion (or conclusions) should be specific and derive directly from the material obtained.
16. Past tense verbs should be used in describing the methodology, discussing the results and in the conclusions.
17. Acknowledgements or Acknowledgements (where appropriate) may include persons who have contributed intellectually to the article (describing their role or the nature of their contribution), but not enough to be included as authors; acknowledgements for technical assistance; thanks for financial and material support provided, indicating the nature of such support, etc.
18. In the article the physical units and designations adopted in the International System of SI (GOST 9867-61) should be used. All agrochemical and ecological terms in accordance with GOST. In the calculations, it is necessary to indicate the authors of the programs used. When naming different compounds, it is desirable to use IUPAC terminology. The transcription of geographical names should correspond to the atlas of the last year of publication. When describing the species composition of vegetation, Russian and Latin names should be given.
19. All abbreviations should be deciphered, except for a small number of common ones.
20. When naming fertilizers (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, complex, and compound, mixed), it is advisable to use abbreviations generally accepted in science (for example: Ps - superphosphate simple).
21. Formulas referenced in the text should be numbered.
22. The formatting of the numerical material should follow the following rules:
- numerical material should be given in the form of tables;
- the tables should be numbered in the order they appear in the text in Arabic numerals, followed by the name of the table;
- all columns in the tables and the tables themselves should have headings.
- abbreviations of words in tables are not allowed;
- the number of tables in an article should not exceed five;
- repetition of the same data in the tables and graphs is not allowed;
- tabular data should be given with an accuracy corresponding to the accuracy of the method.
23. Original drawings should be gif files, 300 dpi (dots per inch) is standard for quality printing. Fill illustrations (diagrams, etc.) should be in black and white shading, dots or other patterns and colours should be contrasting (maps, cartograms, etc.). Figures located in the text, if they are made of separate elements, should be grouped together.
24. All references in the text to literary sources (the surname of the first author or two, if there are two) are given in the original language (surnames and names in Japanese, Chinese and other languages using non-Latin alphabet are written in Russian transcription) and are numbered. Reference numbers in the text should go strictly according to the order of mention and be enclosed in square brackets. For all bibliographic sources the surnames, initials of all authors and full title of the cited work, city, publisher, year of publication, number (issue), pages are given.
25. The length of articles should be no less than 10 and no more than 15 typewritten pages (including tables, figures, diagrams).
26. At the end of the article there is information about all the authors (surname, name and patronymic - in full), position, place of work (department, laboratory, etc.), academic degree, academic title (if any), e-mail.
EXAMPLES OF BIBLIOGRAPHIC DESCRIPTIONS
The references should be formatted in accordance with GOST (State Standard System) 7.1-2003. Information about sources should be arranged in order of appearance of references in the text, numbered in Arabic numerals without a dot, and printed with a paragraph indent. References to used sources should be given in square brackets. A bibliographic citation should be in the original language.
